He amuses himself by eating all sorts of crap that he shouldn't. Like this...

And sometimes that (it used to have bark)...
And as of today, this...
Who knew a small, unassuming, little dog could be such a destructive force? That sprinkler is METAL for cryin' out loud! I'm thinking of changing his name to "Jaws" after the character in the James Bond flick with the stainless steel teeth! Sadly, something tells me this might be a recurring theme. And as much as I'm trying to make light of all this, I sincerely hope it doesn't end with a midnight trip to the emergency vet! Could someone please remind me why we domesticated these little bastards?
